MAGISTECH-2025: National Level Technical Symposium at MGIT

ISTE Students’ Chapter – MGIT
03–04 September, 2025

The ISTE Students’ Chapter and the Institution’s Innovation Council of Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Technology (MGIT) jointly organized a two-day National Level Technical Symposium – MAGISTECH-2025, on 3rd and 4th September 2025. The event was conducted as part of the Engineers’ Day celebrations, commemorating the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya.

With the participation of around 890 students from across the country, MAGISTECH-2025 witnessed enthusiastic involvement in diverse technical competitions including Paper and Poster Presentations, Project Expo, Circuit Relay, Drones & Robotics, CADathlon, Additive Manufacturing, Auto Quiz, Code Scramble, Disturb Code, Guess the Output, Prompt Prodigy, Electric Cache, Circuit Amending, PromptCraft, Frontend Design & Development Using AI Tools, Constructure Gatecrasher, CAD Design Competitions, and Technical Quiz.

Inaugural Ceremony

The symposium was inaugurated by Sri Anil Kumar Mahendrakar, Plant Head & Senior General Manager – Manufacturing Operations, Mahindra & Mahindra Limited, who emphasized the responsibility of engineering students to contribute innovative technologies in areas like 3D printing, automation, drone autonomy, and IoT.

Dr. Y. Srinivasa Rao, Scientist & former Director-General, Naval Sciences and Materials – DRDO, graced the event as Guest of Honour. He highlighted the ongoing transition from conventional transport systems to electric vehicles and the vital role of green technologies in ensuring environmental sustainability.

The Keynote Address was delivered by Dr. P. Chandra Sekhar, Technical Director – Management Consultant 7S Technologies & Technical Advisor – Ramoji Film City. He gave an insightful presentation on Robotics and Automation, stressing the transformative impact of AI and ML in driving industrial progress.

Address by MGIT Leadership

  • Principal, Prof. G. Chandra Mohan Reddy, urged students to develop prototypes and acquire new-age skills for contributing towards national integrity and sustainability.
  • Vice-Principal, Prof. K. Sudhakar Reddy, spoke about the growing recognition of MAGISTECH and emphasized the need for multi-talented engineers to meet diverse industrial challenges.
  • Convener, Prof. S. Madhava Reddy, shared insights into the annual events conducted under ISTE Student Chapter–MGIT and their role in inspiring innovation and knowledge-sharing among students.

Valedictory Session

The two-day event concluded with the Valedictory Session on 4th September 2025, where winners of various competitions were awarded by Prof. G. Chandra Mohan Reddy (Principal), Prof. K. Sudhakar Reddy (Vice Principal), Prof. S. Madhava Reddy (Convener), and Mr. M. Rahul Reddy (Student Convener).

MAGISTECH-2025 successfully served as a platform for young engineers to showcase their talents, exchange knowledge, and collaborate towards building a technologically advanced and sustainable future.
